Morningdew padded up to the river, she was so thirsty she thought she could drink the whole lake. She was expecting kits, and being careful was everything, last year a queen killed all her kits before they were born when she ran to the lake. As her tongue touched the icy cold sweet water, she heard a twig snap. Her head snapped, she could smell Riverclan!!!

Then she remembered the scent from her last gathering it was Largetail!! He was in Thunderclan territory!! How could he invade Thunderclan's territory?? After so many moons of peace!

*Largetail sniffed the air, he caught scent from the Thunderclan queen, Morningdew, from the gathering, and snarled in surprise. He had not meant to cross the border, just a moment ago he thought he saw his mothers pelt and caught her scent. But it was all just a fantasy, and he felt even more foolish. He snarled in rage, lashing his large fluffy tail. He could hear the river gurgling, and he envied its peacefulness. Largetail snarled again, and unsheathed his claws, softly tearing at the ground. Anger pulsated through his mind and body, making him hiss with anger. He glared into the distance, just above Morningdew's ears.*

Morningdew jumped in suprise. She had heard a hiss, and that meant battle. Surely after so many moons of peace a war wouldn't start, now, over so little! She was in no fit state to fight, her plump belly was full of ripping pain as her kits moved around. But, for the sake of her kits she hissed back, knowing that a patrol was due around this area.

Largetail growled, striking at the nearby bush. Anger pulsated through his body. He struck at the ground, lashed his tail, and glared.

Morningdew was hit by the full of the hit and made a large "Thlump" on the ground. She could feel her kits writhing in pain. She hobbled up and spoke "Largetail, don't you dare attack me!! I am a queen!!!"

Largetail jumped back in surprise. He had not meant to hurt the Thunderclan queen! He stepped out of from behind the bushes, meowing "I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to hurt you, or your kits. Are you ok?" he sheaths his claws an looks down guiltily.

"Now scram, and I might not notify Leopardstar about this!!!" Morningdew groaned, she now understood, her kits were coming! She fell down again, this time she screamed in pain.

Largetail gasped. He knew that kits were coming very soon, he could scent it in the air. But this was enemy territory! He shouldn't be here! And yet .... he couldn't bring himself to leave the queen behind. But he knew he had to leave. His paws paced the ground nervously, he looked around for some cat to help, but it was to no avail. He couldn't see anyone nearby, and he didn't want to leave her alone, right when she was kitting! Largetial flicked his ears nervously, and his fluffy black and white tail waved franticly. Largetail was very confused, he didn't know what to do! Should he stay and help the Thunderclan queen and risk severe punishment by Leopardstar? Or should he leave Morningdew to kit alone, and maybe have one of her kits die and be too weak to make it back to camp? This was an extreemely tough situation, but then he dedcided.
"No, I'm staying. What if you need help?"he meowed, pondering over the thought of what Leopardstar might say. "Do you need me to get you anything?"
Nearby, Willowclaw scent Riverclan. He snarls and uinsheeths his claws. How dare they? he thought, his mind fuming with anger. Moons of peace, and then Riverclan sends warriors onto our land! This is a disgrase to his clan, whoever this is! He scented the air, it was tom, although he couldn't quite grasp who it was. "Well who ever it is is gonna regret the day he was kitted." snarled Willowclaw quietly, as he pinpointed the direction of the Riverclan enemy with his scent. "Your mine, trespasser!" he hissed, his golen eyes flashing and the car on the right side of his eye pulsated once more, and Willowclaw leaped into the air, hissing, and landed squarely onto Largetails back.
